08:22 pm: Less than 30 more days...
I can't believe I only have less than 30 days until I run my half marathon at Disney. I must be completely insane...hopefully if I die, it'll be after I cross the finish line :) Right now the longest I've run (run/walk) is 7 1/2 miles and tomorrow I'm doing 9 miles...still not at 13.1

If you feel like getting up early in the morning (3a for you Cali folks) you can watch me run online or you can have my times sent to you thru email, text message and phone I think. You just need to go here http://www.doitsports.com/results/MSG-signup.tcl?sub_event_id=4448 and sign up. Not sure if you search for me by my name or by my bib number which is 35983. You can also find out how I do at http://www.disneyworldmarathon.com and click on the results page

Wish me luck!

04:21 pm: My Insanity
Alright, I know its been about seven months since I last posted and this is short, but I had to expose you all to my complete and utter insanity...

I signed up to run the Disney Half Marathon! What the hell was I thinking?!?! I must have been on crack at the time cause I think the 10K I did last year was long enough...well there goes my entire social life cause I'll be running constantly. Maybe if I win my trip to Beijing I can run the Great Wall (that might be interesting)

What do I get myself into with the peer pressure of my group...damn running people...

12:19 pm: OK, so I was looking at Pollstar to see if anybody good was coming to town and noticed that Tony Lucca is here Thursday. DAMN! My luck sucks...of course I would see it only a day before hand and of course it would be the day prior to launch so no one I know that would go is free!

07:08 am: HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISSY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you have a great day (oh and I have a card too for you but when they migrated me to my mac at work, I lost your address)

04:14 pm: I'm insane!!!
Alright so I think I might be insane. I actually signed up for a 5K in January. Its running around MGM Studios so it should be fun....but running? A couple months ago, it would be a cold day in hell before I would run but now I'm actually looking forward to it. I joined the YMCA in August, and I actually go 3 times a week. I'm like a crack addict, if I even think about missing a day, I can't take it...I must go. Probably this is coming from the running program Lauren has me on. She found this site that has a "From Couch Potato to 5K" plan that lasts for 2 mos (http://www.coolrunning.com). I'm on week 4 so I'm getting close to half way there. We also found two more runs that I think we'll be signing up for. One's in December and you get bells to wear on your shoes and santa hats. The other is in March and you run around the zoo. I did a two mile walk at the Shuttle Landing Facility (SLF) runway this week. It wasn't that bad, especially since I was walking with a pregnant girl.

08:51 pm: Quick Update
Alright, I'm finally back in Florida after 3 weeks gone, but I wanted to get a quick update. I had a great time in DC, MN, and IN. It was great seeing you Chrissy! Chris Isaak was also great (will be seeing him again on Sunday). Ernesto is coming so I might have at least part of tomorrow and probably Wednesday off I hope. Can I just say how much I love the tv show Psych? It's my new fave.

Oh and who doesn't like the Nike Maria Sharapova commercial. It makes me laugh seeing McEnroe sing I feel pretty

03:59 pm: Whassup peeps?
Well, I made it to DC today...no big problems on the trip. It was actually pretty smooth for once. I was a little worried when I got to the Orlando airport and the line to check in was really long. But it actually went pretty fast, especially when a bunch of people wanted to actually talk to a ticket agent. There was a couple ahead of me that was complaining about how everything is going electronic. I wanted to say that I think the self checkin is a whole lot faster. Other than that it was smooth sailing. I'm in my hotel right now in Arlington just chilling. I was originally going to go out and wander the mall but I'm sleepy so I'll probably take a nap or watch tv. Tomorrow, I'm going to the mall and see the WWII memorial and then head over to the American History Museum and check it out. They have an exhibit right now on the muppets so I really want to check it out. Then Monday and Tuesday I'll be in training and hopefully will get to catch up with Chrissy. I'm flying back home on Wednesday so I can do laundry and pack for my next trip. I leave Thursday for Minneapolis and Indiana. I'll actually be off work for 3 whole weeks. I'm loving it. Well I'd write more but I'm having difficulty typing and spelling so I'll talk to you all later

03:48 pm: I'm still alive
In case you all think I've fallen off the earth, I'm still here in hot and humid florida. If I haven't said this enough, I'm horrible about updating this. I could try to update this thing since the last time I wrote anything but that would be 3 months worth of updating. So instead you'll just get the highlights...lets see, well right now I'm getting over either the stomach flu or food poisoning from this weekend...I made it through the big race (Indy 500) and a bbq over at Hillary's house where I talked to this cute boy Jon the entire night, but when I got home I started getting sick...not fun at all, though I did lose 5 pounds on the all Jello diet. Not bad for three days sickness...I don't think I'll do it again.
I'm also looking to get my plane tickets so I can go up to Minnesota to visit my cousin Andi and hit the Chris Isaak concert with her in August. It's going to be great. Then I'm flying straight home for a week. I'll actually be off of work for 2 1/2 weeks because right before this I'm going to DC for a training class in cost estimating (doesn't that sound exciting!)
This weekend, we're having a party at the local minor league team's game (never again will I plan anything, a big pain). Other than that nothing much is going on.
At work, I've become the corrosion control go to person lately, which is kinda scary. Are people that easily fooled to believe that I'm an expert in it? I'm not even close, I just know who to call. Oh and Discovery rolled out to pad B for a launch July 1st. Other than that I'm looking into getting another masters in either project management or construction management, though this probably will never happen.
Nothing else is going on, just working my way through all the episodes of the Office that I've DVR'd and laughing my ass off...I can't wait till season 2 is on DVD so I can get them off...they're filling it up...

Oh and Chrissy, can you email me your address again, i can't find it anywhere...

Michael Scott: I enjoy having breakfast in bed. I like waking up to the smell of bacon, sue me. And since I don't have a butler, I have to do it myself. So, most nights before I go to bed, I will lay six strips of bacon out on my George Foreman grill. Then I go to sleep. When I wake up, I plug in the grill. I go back to sleep again. Then I wake up to the smell of crackling bacon. It is delicious, it's good for me, it's the perfect way to start the day.

09:49 pm: 1445 days and counting
Only 1445 days until I'll be in Vancouver...yes that's right, Vancouver. Just got off the phone with my cousin Andi and we're going to go to the Winter Olympics. I guess Andi and her boyfriend, Nate, had been talking about it and talking about getting a group together, so that when I talked to her today and told her to keep February 2010 open, she said she's game and that they are planning on doing it. I looked online and tickets will go on sale in 2008 and hotels can be booked 18 mos ahead. I'm really excited. Now things can change, especially since Andi was just diagnosed with MS (by the way if you would like to pledge her in her MS walk, let me know) but I'm going to start saving now. I figure it'll cost a pretty penny but I think its worth it....
